Why Hamas resists all foreign demands for surrender

Egyptian fears now are that the #UAE is trying to carry out large-scale plans to blow up the Gaza Strip from within by stimulating protests against Hamas and creating confrontations between the people and the resistance. It even amounted to Emirati funding through Israel for any Gazan who wants to demonstrate against Hamas.”

...Surrender would not prevent mass displacement, but would accelerate it. The collapse of #Gaza would send shockwaves through the occupied #WestBank, East #Jerusalem, and the 1948 territories, heralding the final act of the #Palestinian cause.

Hamas has resolved to continue the fight regardless of the cost. “If we are to be eliminated,” one source tells The Cradle, “let it be in an honorable battle, not in exile.” They cite the Sabra and Shatila refugee camp massacres as a grim lesson: once the Palestine Liberation Organization (#PLO) left Lebanon, the residents of the defenseless camps were butchered. The difference now is that #Hamas is on its own land, among its own people.

thecradle.coWhy Hamas resists all foreign demands for surrenderAs US-backed surrender demands mount and ceasefire negotiations collapse under the weight of sabotage and regional betrayal, Hamas is standing its ground – choosing resistance over exile, even as Gaza burns and Arab states line up to seal its fate.

Today in Labor History December 9, 1987: The First Intifada began in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. It was series of protests, civil disobedience and riots carried out by Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories and within the state of Israel against Israeli repression including beatings, shootings, killings, house demolitions, uprooting of trees, deportations, extended imprisonments, and detentions without trial. It lasted over 5 years, until September 1993, ultimately being suppressed by Israeli military force. Up to 200 Israelis and nearly 2,000 Palestinians died. Both the Oslo and Madrid conferences and Peace Accords stemmed from the First Intifada, as well as the PLO’s recognition of the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state. Another result of these accords was the creation of the collaborationist Palestinian Authority (PA), which currently controls the West Bank, and which had controlled the Gaza Strip, until being ousted by Hamas in the 2006 elections. The PA, which is heavily funded by the U.S. and the E.U.

@david @Nochem @argumento

You didn't answer my questions. You introduced strawman arguments, to precisely avoid answering them.

Are you going to explain why you lied about Medhi Hasan & won't provide evidence to counter my evidence that the #Zionists supported, promoted & funded a group which later became known as #Hamas, as a way to destabilise the #Palestinian authority & the #PLO? 🤔

If you believe you've already DIRECTLY answered these questions, you won't have an issue showing where.. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@david @Nochem @argumento

You're not paying attention are you? 🙄

The #Palestinians are ALREADY integrated into #Israel. Officially, #Palestine no longer exists. Look it up on #Google maps if you can.

I'm also STILL waiting for you to explain why you lied about Medhi Hasan, & won't provide your counter evidence to counter my evidence that the #Zionists were supporting, promoting & funding a group which later became #Hamas, as a way of destabilising the #Palestinian authority & the #PLO... 🙄

@david @Nochem @argumento

Are you ever going to provide evidence as to why you don't believe Sir Gerald Kaufman, tried to LIE about Medhi Hasan, & have dismissed #Israeli, #US #Palestinian & #British politicians who ALL claim the Israeli #Zionists supported, promoted & funded a group which later became #Hamas, as a way to destabilise the Palestinian authority & the #PLO?

Or are you going to being disingenuous & keep lying out of your arse like the clown you evidently are? 🤔

@david @argumento @Nochem

1/ There was a simple premise to my claim, that as far back as 1969, #Israel were actively encouraging, supporting & funding what is today known as #Hamas, as a way of destabilising the #PLO & the #Palestinian authority.

I couldn't care less when Hamas were officially constituted, as that wasn't they day they suddenly appeared. I've presented my empirical evidence, & you disagree which is fine.

The question remains, where's your evidence to counter mine? 🤔

Today in Labor History September 16, 1982: Phalangists and Israelis massacred as many as 3,500 Palestinian civilian refugees at the Shatila and Sabra camps in Lebanon. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) ordered the Phalangist to clear the camps of PLO fights and then watched and did nothing as they slaughtered civilians. In 1983, the Kahan Commission found that the Israeli military bore indirect responsibility by allowing it to happen under their command. The commission also blamed Ariel Sharon, then Defense Minister, forcing him to resign. This sordid past worked in his favor in the long run, however, as his “toughness” helped him to win the national election for Prime Minister.

"Why a #Palestinians plan (By the #PLO 🤣) to revive #Gaza and democracy (...something they never ever offered) faces doubt and distrust"

"The team of policymakers working around the clock here to overhaul Palestinian governance has a checklist of proposed reforms that are... (WAIT FOR IT!)

...a Western diplomat’s dream. 🤣

...But there’s a problem... These would-be reformers lack both money and popular support,"
