Следующая на быстро-тесте у меня - openSUSE Tumbleweed-Slowroll x86_64. именно Slowroll - типа не такая свежеактуальная, как обычный Tumbleweed. Подумал, что должно быть неплохо.
По умолчанию ставится на btrfs, что неплохо, можно было выбрать, кажется, что-то ещё (экстренную Ubuntu я поставил на zfs с шифрованием - работало довольно быстро, но замечал долгий старт некоторых приложений - возможно, это было из-за snap).
Мой тест, собстевнно, заключается в том, чтобы развернуть рабочий проект - старая версия Ruby, Ruby on Rails, старые гемы, и пара контейнеров в докере. Для установки старых версий руби я использую asdf - удобная штука, качает, собирает, пользуйся.
После установки тулз для сборки через `sudo zypper install --type pattern devel_basis`, собрались ruby-2.7.5 (старьё), и почти все нужные гемы из Gemfile. Затыка была с библиотекой для работы с Postgres версии 1.2.3 (тоже старьё). Изменил версию на актуальную 1.5.9 и всё собралось со свистом. С докером тоже проблем не было.
Который раз смотрю на OpenSUSE и она мне всегда чем-то нравилась (может, в том числе, и из-за набора инструментов YaST). Первое моё знакомство было ещё в нулевых - до сих пор тёплые чувства к этому дистрибутиву. Потыкаю ещё и следующая на тест - Fedora.

#Deepin DE, the open source #Linux desktop developed by a Chinese company, was removed from the #openSUSE official repo.
According to openSUSE, this is due to the upstream deliberately bypasses the security guidelines and requirements and smuggling system packages when users install Deepin DE.
Now DDE is only available in 3rd party repo.

@romanbuchta I am using Teams4Linux on my work laptop with Wayland.
Other than the normal Teams issues (it is Teams), I did not notice any problems regarding Wayland.

С #endeavouros ковырялся, не починил. временно на #ubuntu 24.04 посижу на минималках до выходных. Хотел было #opensuse, но с наскоку настроить то, что надо не получилось, поэтому вот.

#openSUSE #leap 16 is going to work only with #Wayland. XOrg/X11- Server will no longer supported.
Does anybody know is there still a Bug in MS #Teams with Wayland and screen sharing?
Teams from #Flathub works fine with XOrg. It always crashes with Wayland one year ago.
Unfortunately I need Teams for University and don't go away from openSUSE. I have been using this distribution for 15 years.

Saved a laptop from an early Windows 10 grave today.
Friend did NOT want to invest in a new laptop and worried about windows 11 (with good reason), so I put OpenSuse on his machine (after backups of course).
One happy chappy left with the machine, which is running faster than it ever did on Windows. (And TLP/laptop mode gives him great battery run time!)
