Übersetzungssprint - TIB-BlogDie Open-Source-Software Open Journal Systems (OJS) des Public Knowledge Projects (PKP) ist eine führende Workflow-Management-Software im europäischen Open-Access-Publizieren. Im deutschsprachigen Raum alleine bieten mehr als 80 Institutionen OJS-Hosting an, aber bislang gibt es jedoch keine deutsche Fassung der Benutzer:innen-Dokumentation (PKP Docs) für die OJS-Software. Der Diamond-Open-Access-Verlag der TIB, TIB Open Publishing, initiierte nun den ersten Übersetzungssprint: Nach dem Vorbild der PKP-Developer-Sprints arbeiteten wir in Gruppen eineinhalb Tage lang an selbst gewählten Abschnitten der Dokumentation.

PKP Documentation enables people to better use @PublicKnowledgeProject software like #OpenJournalSystems. As a long-standing PKP partner, @tibhannover is commited to improving the software and documentation. A few months ago, we have started to translate PKP Docs into German in sprint events comprising volunteers from quite a few German organisations.
