Downloaded MuseScore 4.5, so I thought I'd see what the drums and guitars are like (they've had a lot of work recently). I took my mashup of Pizzicato Rockalong and Perpetuum Mobile to see what it sounded like in #musescore.
Turns out I suck at drums, but I am better at bass than I thought I was.
Parece que hay nueva versión de #Musescore
La v4.5.
A ver qué cosicas trae.
Was würde ich dann wollen?
#Midi #Musescore
So when you add a breath mark in #MuseScore to be a half second pause (which I admit is a bit hacky), this is how MS translates it into #MIDI: an extra measure at 480bps. (Cyan line is the tempo map)
which is way hackier than just adding a breath mark so I don't feel so bad
"Home (When Shadows Fall)", a pop ballad from 1931 which has been in the #PublicDomain for a while. This is the arrangement I've been working on for my family to record at the studio in a few weeks. Very exciting to me.

Today's update includes changes to the new percussion track with EQ and compression tweaks, to cello, bass and drums.

I've added a percussion track and slight re-mix to my 2024 vision of DOA. Edvard Grieg's “Death of Åse” the second piece in Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op. 46, Act III of Peer Gynt. In my rendition of the piece, I've replaced all parts with distorted, feedback electric guitar in combination with MIDI guitar controller voiced as cello and bass wavetable synthesizer.

I created some music. This work is for violin, cello and piano and was actually commissioned by the Italian violin player Marco Modigo who asked me for something he could play with his students. It's for violin, cello and piano. I have kept the violin part simple as it is for a beginner. The piano part is a bit more demanding, as is the cello part.

Thanks also to @EDVARDS whose generosity made this possible.
Here's a cursed funfact about #MIDI. You can send a Note On event with 0 velocity and it works just like a Note Off event. In fact, #MuseScore does this!! The question for me though is why?
Why has #Musescore transformed into a horrible money-sucking web site? It used to be good. Considering removing my scores from there.
re: #OMR (#OCR for music scores) ---
I played around with #Audiveris a bit tonight and successfully imported a few different formats (pdf and jpg) and exported to mxl, which can be read by Musescore.
It actually looks like #MuseScore is testing an import pdf feature, which also transcribes to an editable format, but the file has to be uploaded to their online platform, processed, then downloaded.
But they are using Audiveris behind the scenes...
