can someone who knows how to make good databases can help me, i'm kinda stuck between those two designs for my website. i have no idea which is best since i only was taught how to use sql, not design databases.

Why does #Akonadi -- by default -- want a #MySQL/ #MariaDB backend? It also supports #PostgreSQL and #SQLite.

Personally the default should be SQLite for everyone. If someone needs a more robust backend database for their email and PIM data then let them migrate and switch on their own!

Das #Nextcloud Installationsskript ist ab sofort #debian13 ready.
Wir weisen aber darauf hin, dass bei der Verwendung von MariaDB eine seitens Nextcloud derzeit noch nicht offiziell unterstützte Version v. 11.8 genutzt wird. Zudem wird unter Debian 13 automatisch PHP 8.4 und nginx in der Version 1.26 installiert. Das alles ist dem derzeit sehr neuen #Debian-Release Trixie geschuldet bzw. den derzeit noch nicht verfügbaren Hersteller-Repositories bspw. von #nginx, und #MariaDB.
Wird Nextcloud mit #PostgreSQL auf Basis von Debian 13 installiert, so wird PostgreSQL Version 17 verwendet und die Nextcloud ohne Warnungen installiert.
