@ravirockks OFC they don't.
- And by "don't I don't mean "teach #assembly and CPU architectures" but anything that goes beyond #LinusTechTips's #Tutorials...
At best they show people how to change fan curves in the #UEFI or hiw to run #memtest86+, but mostly they just "teach" people how to consume #Windows and at best #macOS and that's it.
- I mean I don't expect any training center to teach people how to build #mkroot (#toybox + #linux) or #LinuxFromScratch but at least showing people how to use @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS & @tails_live / @tails / #Tails should be in the cards if #RHEL & #SLES / #SLED isn't.
Same with @libreoffice / #LibreOffice & @thunderbird / #Thunderbird.
- At least the most pointless certification - #ECDL - isn't hard-locked to #Windows11 & #MicrosoftOffice per-se!

And my motivation for @OS1337 is the same as @landley has for #toybox - except I'm too stupid/lazy to do #LinuxFromScratch and want to do something simpler, faster, more auditable and reproduceable in a feasible amount of time.

KDE Plasma's upcoming 6.2 version going to contain annual donate notification:

(Many users are mad about this because it makes Plasma "Windows-y", and it's annoying to get a popup when doing important work. The latter I can absolutely agree with, but I can also understand KDE's move because being a non-profit, it needs more permanent donors who don't just donate a large amount at once, but smaller amounts multiple times.)
(That being said, if I were them, I'd put the "notification" in the settings, under the window header, with a dismiss button. If a user dismisses it, it appears 2-3 months later. This way it wouldn't be that annoying but at the same time it's also more noticeable. What do you think about this? Let me know in the comments below.)

On a eu un peu plus de mal cette année à la sortir en même temps que la version anglophone à cause du calendrier. Mais moins de 48h, ça passe, non ? :)
Changements notables : mise à jour de KDE5 vers KDE6, suppression de GTK2 et Python2.

@SweetAIBelle @OS1337 nodds in agreement #LinuxFromScratch basically builds a whole #GNU / #Linux distro with #rpm and all the #LSB-compliant stuff...
- I too think it's really #bloated because most of that isn't needed.
Similarly I think that #SystemD is a net positive on anything beyond space-constrained minimalism. It just didn't make the cut being too big to fit as of now.
