On my way home, I suddenly felt the urge to try some #ICM again - probably because I’d walked that same old path a hundred times and there was just nothing left to catch my eye. My inner photographer insisted: “Must. Press. Shutter.” So I did, and a quiet thrill set in: What might those images become? What hidden wonders might they reveal? As I continued on my way, I let myself muse over potential editing ideas.

By now, editing my photos is almost like meditation. If I go a few days without it, I feel as if I’m missing something essential - like putting not only my camera, but also a piece of my creative soul aside. Ansel Adams once said, “The negative is the score, the print is the performance.” In other words, without the editing, it’s only half the show - like a choir that rehearses but never performs before an audience. And that’s exactly why I need it: that little celebratory moment where raw material transforms into a resonant symphony… or maybe a funky jazz improv, depending on the mood. The main thing is giving the soul something to do!
