ZendadaistWell I wasn't expecting my bug report to actually do anything (thanks to <a href="https://infosec.exchange/@guamwatt" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@guamwatt</a> for all the help) but <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Niantic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Niantic</a> fixed the <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ingress" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ingress</a> issue with an update and now the app works just fine.The little portal is still there, the extra couple jus tpast it that got added back when I still played still are too, and a whole TON of new ones seem to have popped up. That should provide some short adventures for my foot rehab.This hacking drone thing should make a daily hack streak easy now. Not a fan of all of the pay2wiin crap and pop ups though.

ZendadaistThought I'd fire up the ol' <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ingress" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ingress</a> app to see if the portal that used to be round the corner years back when I played was still there, as a way of perhaps helping with my little walks trying to rehab my foot.Unfortunately the app hangs on the loading screen (that loads so slowly I've sat through faster powerpoint presentations) and none of the buttons function. Nothing I've tried has fixed it including uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting the phone, changing every game-related setting on the device etc. Checking the latest reviews on Google Play have shown other folks with this issue as well, but so far no solutions. The device is a Samsung Galaxy S20 so not exactly decrepit even if it is a few years old now.Guess no portalling for me.
