donthatedontkill<p>I swear I'll finish my little essay on Hyperion and Big Tech one of these days! I was able to carve out an hour or so of my schedule to work on it today. What's embarrassing is that it's not that long. Probably a 10 minute read, but I just want to do a good job. I keep saying I'll find more time to write but then what should I give up to find that time? Space Catitude 🚀<p>Haven't been reading as much or as often as I'd like, but I did just finish Dan Simmons' "Hyperion" (1990 Hugo winner). I've been reading it in short bits for months (perhaps over a year? Notably what happens at the end of the second book and how I see it as a metaphor to what some of us in the fediverse and indieweb are trying to do in terms of tech and healing that part of our society. Der Chef-Meterologe meinte: Is nur so ne Anomalie. Er hat auch zum Klima geforscht. Vielleicht stimmte das auch.
