Impressive. Picked up a pair of powerline adapters. Plugged in one in my computer closet and another in our pumphouse. Just works. Now I have network down there and can put sensors in it. :)

Today I discovered that #homeassistant has an #adguard server available as a community add on.

So I now have a fully functioning ad blocker to replace my creaking pi hole, with the added benefit that it supports encrypted DNS out of the box. And I can repurpose my Pi 4 for other exciting projects...

Another AliExpress purchase, a GL.iNet GL-S20 Thread Border Router that's PoE powered and is Open Thread Border Router API compatible. I'm avoiding USB devices into docker containers and Amazon/Google/Apple as border routers so this fitted the bill.
Has dedicated instructions on their website to get it working with #HomeAssistant which worked seamlessly.
An EVE motion sensor is connected and working as a test until I get more devices.

I made the "mistake" of getting 2 Everything Presence Lite's (shop.everythingsmart.io/produc) and my partner has mentioned a few times that she now gets frustrated when she walks into rooms in our house and the lights don't automatically turn on.

I want to finish the in-room detection coverage for the house for her birthday and would like to know if that's "best in class" or if something else is?

Insbesondere bei einer großen Menge von Automationen. ⚙️ Heute konnte ich so zum Beispiel innerhalb von Minuten eine passende Automation finden und anpassen. Ohne langes Suchen!
