You don't have to agree with Zionism

You don't have to believe that Zionism is Jewish civil rights.

You don't have to agree with the Zionist idea of Jewish self-determination.

But you do have to accept the following:

Holding all Zionists responsible for the actions of a few politicians in a minority government is not just wrong, it's a form of hate.

Saying Zionism is a hate group or hateful ideology is disgusting and inverting the meaning of hate.

70-80% of all Jews are Zionists, and Zionists live around the world.

Using minority viewpoints to say what is and isn't part of Judaism is gross and tokenizing.

Immigration is not the problem.
Misinformation fueled by hate is.

When #Facebook + #socialmedia took off around 20 years ago, there was talk of the expansion of democratic processes. Everyone was suddenly able to express and assert their opinions.
With the spread of hate + #hatespeech online, it became clear that these networks could be used just as anti-socially as socially. In other words, the spread of anti-democratic rights and the restriction of democratic rights in equal measure. The protection of the latter is still in the process of being created.

Remember when the extreme right people would talk about their "Free Speech" rights, and we all knew what they wanted- which was to use "Free Speech" as a pretense to cause harm to Queer folks, and Black folks, and anyone they didn't like.

We called it out. We made fun of them, called it "Freeze Peach", etc.

When someone, under the pretense of "Free Speech", physically assaults someone else, sprays hate messages on their home, shoots at their school, physically blocks them from entering their school or work, gives away maps of where a "certain type of person" lives, etc. that's also not "Free Speech". It doesn't matter what the cause is, and if it's someone from the Left doing it. It's still not okay.

Call it out. Call it Freeze Peach. Call it whatever the hell we need to call it to make it stop.

And if you defend this stuff, then as far as I'm concerned, you can go to the same place as the Proud Boys go.
