The ground of the alley comprises uneven rows of blue engineering bricks with, every few rows, a raised row of bricks to allow horses (and walkers) a foothold. And to deter oiks on bicycles from freewheeling downhill at speed.

More of my Harbourside walk along a paved path leading towards a modern, architect designed BBQ structure. Grassy areas with small trees. In the middle distance, a large cruise ship is docked. On the right there are modern multi-story apartment buildings. Streetlights line the waterfront. People can be seen walking along the path, enjoying the evening ambiance.

A grey, paved path runs alongside a flowing river in a valley between steep, grassy hills under an overcast sky. The river, likely the River Dove, occupies the right side of the frame, its surface rippling with movement. The path, damp and showing some tyre tracks, curves gently into the distance. The hillsides are covered in vibrant green grass, interspersed with rocky outcrops and a few bare trees, suggesting it might be early spring or late autumn. The overall scene evokes a sense of natural beauty and tranquility, consistent with the landscape of Dovedale in the Peak District.

Deze #FootPathFriday een stukje van het Reckense Markepad, waar de Middelhuisgoot wordt overgestoken middels een speciaal voor dit klompenpad aangelegde 'loopbalk' met leuning.

Het genoemde 'bruggetje' en een stukje van de genoemde goot.

Aan de overkant kun je (als je heel goed kijkt) de aanwijzing zien dat het klompenpad naar rechts verder gaat, terwijl er overduidelijk rechtdoor ook een pad door het tegenoverliggende bos is.

Voetpad in een bosachtige omgeving dat met houten treden de heuvel op omhoog leidt, links een leuning van houten palen. Veel bruin blad op de grond en bomen eromheen. Een paar kleine groene struiken rechts naast het pad. Op de voorgrond wat jong groen.

Huldange est situé tout au nord du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg à une altitude de 559 m et longtemps considéré comme le point culminant, titre ravi par le Kneiff pas loin de là qui culmine à... 560 m.

Pour ce #footpathfriday une vue sur Huldange lors d'une rando entre Gouvy en Belgique et Troisvierges au Grand-Duché en avril 2015.

Huldange is the northernmost point of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg at an altitude of 559 m and for a long time also considered as the highest point of the country but in fact, the highest point is the "Kneiff" not far from there which is at an altitude of... 560 m.

For this #footpathfriday a view of Huldange taken during a long hike from Gouvy in Belgium to Troisvierges in Luxembourg I made in April 2015.
