🙄 Oh, joy! Another groundbreaking revelation about how the almighty #Eurorack could be marginally improved by some half-baked idea that was 90% complete before being abandoned. Because clearly, what the world needs right now is yet another whimsical, useless synthesizer gimmick that promises #innovation but delivers little more than a laughable #distraction. 🎛️🤦‍♂️

Finally getting this 7u/84hp #eurorack case together, still need to figure out what I'm gonna do for power, probably the TipTop µZeus or similar

otoh I'm not sure what I was thinking using 1/2" baltic birch, even empty this thing is pretty dang heavy

Modular Synth Geekery with Sitka

online, Monday, April 21 at 06:00 PM GMT+1

Hey! Oleksiy aka Sitka here. I've just finnished remodeling my main eurorack case (you can see it in the picture). Now I need to put the modules in and I decided to do it on the stream. Feel free to drop by for a chat while I'm screwing in about a hundred of screws by hand :) I might jam a little in the end if we'll have time

Thinking about cases and workflows and maybe onto something. Likely some rearranging required, but nothing major.

Idea being four cases: the sequencer (this is done), the control voltage case (there's stuff here that really belongs to the controller case and the sounds case), the sounds case (some stuff needs to be moved to the controller case) and the controller case.

I also probably need a new performance mixer, either Doepfer A-138p/o or Frap Tools QSC+M One.

The #ObliquePalette v0.5.3 is off to manufacture!

It'll fit in a #Eurorack #modularsynth case if you like. And it reads and writes voltage control (only 0:5V currently, but ±5V in the final, we're hoping). You’ll be able to plug your #synthdiy weird things into its eight inputs, which you will then interpret with a #plugdata patch.

And your patch will obey your creative wishes, making sound with your computer audio and sending out 8 channels of CV and servos*!

*We'll see how many we can run!
