DeltaLima 🐧<p>Leider habe ich aktuell das große Problem beim ESP32-C3, dass die default Partition im Flash zu klein ist um ein paar KB, sodass ich beim compilen eigentlich eine andere Partitionstabelle wählen müsste, womit dann aber OTA Update verloren ginge. I tried first the 8266 due to the lower price and energy consumption, but it worked only until rebooted. After reboot it hangs printing a lot of errors. Found somewere in the project issues that it's a known bug in <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/esphome" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#esphome</a> , so I'll just use the <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/esp32" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#esp32</a>
Stefan Wolfrum :mastodon:<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://tech.lgbt/@Shdwdrgn" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>Shdwdrgn</span></a></span> The „display“ is just a USB dongle to temporarily measure the power usage of the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ESP8266" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ESP8266</span></a> / <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ESPHome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ESPHome</span></a> combo and it doesn’t measure itself afaik. 😉 I just need the LED on the D1 mini module to reflect a certain state from <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a>.</p>

It's using app. 100 mA. If I'd use a LiPo battery with 1000 mAh to power it I'd get a run time of app. 10 hours – far too less. 😞 <br>Any chance I can make this run for at least a week on battery? Or better a month? Six months? The ESP8266 has some deep sleep modes, right? But can <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ESPHome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ESPHome</span></a> make use of them? I'd lose continuous WiFi connection, though, right? 🤔</p>
