For #DoorsDay here's the Piscine Municipale Saint-Georges in Rennes, France — a municipal swimming pool. Photo from 2019.

Blue grillwork on the arched glass doors leading to the building with the large swimming pool. The steps up are trimmed with blue tiles. The whole thing looks very impressive!

You guys ... look what the #Postcrossing gods brought me today!

Could there be a more perfect #postcard for #Doorsday??

The sender gave me the mission to come to Ireland, find at least one of these doors, and send them a pic. Challenge accepted!

A somewhat grainy black-and-white photograph of the front of a small medieval church. The church is plain, built in the style of a Roman stone basilica from the late 1100s. Two simple outdoor benches sit on either side of an unassuming and currently closed double door.

"Open The Noor!" It's #Doorsday!

Being a bit cheeky with this door - as it's a door within a door - Doorception

The open door is part of Il Palazzo Monti Poi Salina, this version - built between 1736 and 1738. One of the courtyards has a well dating back to the 14th century, oh and the palazzo was used as a bomb shelter during World War II.
There's like a web designer office or something across the road - I don't know much about it to be honest!

My first contribution to #doorsday

This door is found in Gamla stan ("Old town") in Stockholm. The city was founded in 1252, but this building is considerably newer, from the 1630s. The famous french philosopher René Descartes lived a while on the invitation of the Queen Christina in Stockholm from 1649 to early 1650, when he died, possibly in this very building.

Another local beauty, this time the #Brick #Gothic castle #church of #Wolmirstedt, built in 1480. Apparently the most southern example of northern #BrickGothic, huh. It's all humble red bricks and a plain door, but when you look up - wow!

A detailed, eye-level shot showcases the ornate entrance to the brick Gothic castle chapel in Wolmirstedt, Germany. The grand Gothic arched doorway is constructed from reddish-brown bricks, characteristic of the Brick Gothic style. The deeply recessed arch features multiple brick layers, creating depth.
