I posted an #introduction but then moved to fediscience.org, so let me introduce myself again.
I'm a #computational neuroscientist at Boston University. I make circuit models of cognitive-emotional interaction in the #limbic system. I shifted to #Julia from Matlab recently (and I love it!).
On the birdsite I tend to post a mix of neuroscience, philosophy, history, math, literature and... not-quite-serious musings.
I'm interested in public scientific communication and education too.
Migrated to sciences.social and lost my #introduction, so:
I’m a #computational #social #scientist, primarily interested in #theoretical #models, #statistical models based on theory, and #history. Applications mostly in #international #conflict and international #order.
My wife Kristen and I are based in #Oslo, #Norway while I’m on sabbatical this year. We love to #travel and try new #cuisines, and I love to read to and play #math #games with our 6-year-old daughter.
Now that this instance is officially open, I suppose it is time for an #introduction! I'm involved in #DigitalHumanities, with a focus on #Computational Literary Studies, #French #Literature and #OpenScience. I work at #Trier University in Germany and co-direct, with Claudine @moulin, the Trier Center for Digital Humanities (@tcdh). I'm also involved in @DHd and #ADHO. – This is my personal, academically-oriented account. See also: https://toot.io/@christof
