The #codeberg repository was public but we since made it private, as my business partner wasn't sure if public meant that others could commit code (he's used to Github, not Codeberg).
It looks like public is fine, and only 'collaborators' can commit code, so I've set it back to public

I nowadays get the same uncomfortable feeling when engaging with #GitHub that I used to get when dealing with #Google. Maybe I'll soon reach the point where seeing someone use GitHub is as much of a culture shock as spotting someone searching with Google is to me today 
Hopefully all the projects I'm interested in would have moved on by then

Question about choice of forge software, I would be very thankful for some suggestions!
I aim to work on projects for customers, whom I want to grant read and write rights flexibly. I will be the main contributor, but my customer may need to add content too, and certainly need read-rights. The customer may be a non-nerd. Ideally, it'd be software that I can eventually host myself. Therefore, it should not be too complicated, since I am a beginner server admin.
Ogey, so.. #codeberg seems to have issues with 2fa when pushing via #git? Interesting.. there's still an open issue for that apparently.
Anyway, that forced me to use ssh instead of https and.. that's a lot more secure, huh? While not even that much more complex? Shoulda been obvious, I love ssh keys.. so idk why I never used it for my git stuff.
Well, sometimes it's a good thing that things don't work, as you'll find alternative paths that end up being better.

Any chance you've written down something about why you went with #ForgejoActions for your own runners?
Alright, moved most of my projects to #codeberg now. Migration from #gitlab was very easy, that was great. Also added a 5 bucks monthly donation (although I do feel bad because the 5€ option did warn about "high fees" for them. But for something I only really use as a backup for certain configurations (nixos, mpv config etc) and MAYBE some very small private projects, I feel like 15 bucks is a bit much for me personally. Maybe at some point later)
