#RFKJr committed to advancing #FDA efforts to increase #diversity in #ClinicalTrials [he seemed flummoxed & decided to just respond “yes”]. #Health agencies removed website pages devoted to the issue after a #Trump admin order for agencies to purge websites related to DEI, STAT News reported. This raised concerns that the Trump admin would reverse course on addressing the problem of drugs & medical devices hitting the market w/insufficient #research on varying effects across demographic groups.

The FDA has removed webpages about #diversity & #inclusion in #ClinicalTrials for #CancerDrugs.

The page for Project Equity, a 2021 initiative launched by the FDA's #Oncology Center of Excellence to ensure that cancer #drugs were evaluated for approval based on data from a diverse group of study participants, has gone dark.
