So, die Hashtags werden wohl nicht viel verwendet. Also ich denke mir:

Wenn du das Basisspiel hast, schreib eine Antwort und ich lose morgen früh jemanden aus. Falls das nicht klappt, probiere ich das in ein paar Monaten nochmal, wenn ich "etablierter" bin :D

Es geht um 6 DLCs/Packs.

Ich würde Linux Spieler bevorzugen, aber da das vielleicht nicht jeder kann/mag, diskriminiere ich nicht ;)

After a 70 hour streak of gameplay in #civ #CivilizationVII winning theee games (Science, Economic, Cultural), taking a break till end of month for the DLCs and patches to come in. Back to Path of Exile II to complete the campaign. One step closer to Doryani as I defeated Zicoatl, Warden of the Core. Small video - youtu.be/eouRZBZzW3c?si=tlQnmd

Veterinarian Warns of Flu Symptoms in Dogs Pet Parents Should Never Ignore

Dr. Mark discusses dog flu symptoms, prevention, and treatment—and what you should know about the #BirdFlu.

"With all the recent stories about the outbreaks of #AvianFlu among #cats, we are often asked about how prone our dogs are to this new variant.

"It is not impossible for a dog to catch bird flu, but it is extremely unlikely. The dog flu that was first identified in Chicago in the US is caused by the #H3N2 variant, but the avian flu that has caused the cases in cats after eating raw food or drinking raw milk is caused by a different variant, #H5N1.

"The only H5N1 cases that have been identified in dogs involved direct contact. One was in #Thailand and was probably spread to the dog after eating an infected #duck, and the other was in Canada, where the dog only got sick after eating an infected wild #goose. No cases have been reported after eating raw dog food.

"The other causes of flu in dogs are much more common than the H5N1 variant, and a vaccine for those types has already been developed. Canine flu (#CIV) is caused by H3N8 or H3N2, unlike the H5N1 strain that is making eggs so expensive."

With the #Twitch VoDpocalypse on its way, I'm in the process of uploading my various playthroughs to #YouTube playlists, starting with the rarest. For your watching-at-1.5x-speed and/or falling-asleep-to pleasure, presenting what I believe is the only playthrough of the #Civ II: Fantastic Worlds scenario "Master of Orion Jr." (no longer officially available) anywhere on the Internet: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVN

on to the modern age. exploration ended with every civ declaring war on me. I almost defeated Ashoka (only one city was left) and learnt a lot more about cities vs towns.

Missed the legacy milestones because somehow Ibn Battuta got lucky with settlements and kept sending treasure ship after other.

Now, Himiko returns to Japan (after a detour to Khmer). Gonna try the science way.

So, ich habe meine erste Runde Civilization 7 durchgespielt (18 Stunden, inklusive diverser Irrfahrten ins Land der schlecht informierten Entscheidungen).

Meine Zusammenfassung bisher:

So, I just finished my first playthrough of Civilization 7 (18 hours, including several detours into the land of uninformed decisions).

My summary so far:

  • A lot has changed in the mechanics. Every game series struggles with changing too much for some and too little for others. This installment definitely leans towards pleasing those who wanted more changes.
  • Technically, the game is fine. It’s surprisingly small in size for modern standards, but the graphics are charming and playful. I encountered two freezes in 18 hours, forcing me to restart and redo my last turn—an experience every Civ player is intimately familiar with.
  • The biggest issue is the UI. At many points, it’s about as intuitive as a cryptic crossword puzzle and explains too little. The mechanics could use more polish but are generally okay.
  • The pre-release was available for Mac OS from the start. That gets them a big goodwill bonus from me.
  • The game could serve as an efficiency demo for Apple Silicon machines. My Mac Mini M4 draws about 16W when I'm staring at the desktop. Playing Civ7 got that to a staggering 20W. My gaming PC wouldn't even boot with that.
  • And yes, the game still has the infamous “Just one more turn” effect.

Planning a #CrossBorderRail trip and surprised by the Python-esque system for booking trains from #Wales to connect with #Eurostar.

Managed to get the perfect ticket from #Cardiff to #London - flexible to make sure I get a connection in the event of a delay.

It's called a #CIV ticket. You can't buy it online. It's not even (apparently) advertised by the train companies. You have to go to a ticket office and act like some sort of secret agent.

This is madness. @jon @bestdeadends

The Eternal War is a Civilization II save game posted on Reddit by the user Lycerius ... who had been playing the game for ten years. The game world, in the game year 3991 AD was deadlocked -

"The world is a hellish nightmare of suffering and devastation. There are 3 remaining super nations in the year 3991 A.D, each competing for the scant resources left on the planet after dozens of nuclear wars have rendered vast swaths of the world uninhabitable wastelands"

"The ice caps have melted over 20 times (somehow) due primarily to the many nuclear wars. As a result, every inch of land in the world that isn't a mountain is inundated swamp land, useless to farming. Most of which is irradiated anyway"

"As a result, big cities are a thing of the distant past. Roughly 90% of the worlds population (at it's peak 2000 years ago) has died either from nuclear annihilation or famine caused by the global warming that has left absolutely zero arable land to farm"
