The best way for making primary surfaces in #Plasticity3D is the Square command from XNurbs. This allows control over the CVs of the patches and enables clean, straightforward modeling. However, it’s not indispensable you can still achieve excellent results even without! #CAD

You, know, what I hate about learning #CAD isn't just that workflows are so absolutely mercilessly, brutally hierarchial - it's also & even moreso that the hierarchy is solely the responsibility of the user. If you e.g. forget to manually select the appropriate tool, geo etc. before taking the next step, it fails & the app just shrugs like "Not my fault; YOU did it wrong", doing NOTHING to help you do it right.
Other apps do this too but few quite as dickishly as CAD apps

Sometimes I see @alternativeto pushing quite a lot of commercial software and wonder about the perceived shift of perspective.
#CAD #CAM for example: Artsoft's Mach3 & Mach4 are listed separately as controllers, but not the #FreeSoftware #OpenSouce alternative #UGS?! Even #YouTube is better in the case of #CNC since the existence of #UniversalGCODEsender isn't censored (like covid).
Please, stop the progress of #enshitification and save the much appreciated website with more #GPL alternatives. TY
