Today in Labor History September 5, 1936: Photographer Robert Capa captured the death of 24-year-old anarchist Federico "Taino" Borrell in the iconic photo The Falling Soldier. Borell was an antifascist fighter, killed during the Spanish Civil War. Capa is considered by many to be the greatest war photojournalist ever. He was the only civilian photographer who landed on Omaha Beach during D-Day. He co-founded Magnum Photos collective, which included David "Chim" Seymour, Maria Eisner, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, William Vandivert, and Rita Vandivert. He died after stepping on a landmine in Vietnam in 1954

I have been made aware of another #antifascist counter-demo in #Manchester this weekend, Sunday 7th September.

Do come along, show solidarity and oppose fascists!

Manchester South Hotel is at 340 Wilmslow Road, just south of Fallowfield Sainsburys and next to McDonalds. There's loads of buses from the city centre - 41 42 43 142 143 and others all stop at the Friendship Inn nearby.

Please refer to the advice in the previous post from last week's demo.

And in Melbourne no less! It's pretty amazing to see a Melbourne court refuse bail (most of the habitual gangs that regularly do the home invasions, stabbings & attacks in Melbourne have had multiple bails & still keep getting bailed each time, which is why Melbourne's crime rate is sky high).

Let's get one thing absolutely straight: There are NO 'good' Racists and there are NO 'good' Neo-Nazis, none, nada.

Spreading Hate, Violence, Racism, Fear etc. are NOT the acts of 'good' people, and if the PM can't understand this we need another election.
