Reading Recluse📘 "Mrs. Caliban" by Rachel IngallsSome days you laugh. Some days you cry. Some days you start an affair with an escaped frog man because your husband has been avoiding you since the miscarriage and domestic life wasn't all that you wished for it to be, right? ...Right?Mrs. Caliban was quite a fun read. Part a critique on the depressing reality of a housewife's life in the 80s, part a reflection on humanity through the bulging eyes of a tall frog humanoid, and part totally off the rails eventually with all of the melodrama.This book does what it says on the tin. Or does it? The characters are pleasant even if their relationships contrived. (Who insults the Emperor and lives?) It is a good read for anyone who likes series like “The Apothecary Diaries” or “My Perfect Marriage.” Not of the same quality but still worthwhile.The art, on the other hand, is outstanding. Beautifully rendered with lovely detail. David Brent 📚Started The Swallows by Lisa Lutz, and I'm already 20% into it and liking it so far. It's like an anti-Dead Poets Society, but where DPS kind of ignored private school cliques, - all the students seemed to mostly get along - Lutz leans in hard and it's far more interesting (don't get me wrong: I ❤️ Dead Poets Society). Kolya's WonderariumWell, Ghostmaker does a lot to flesh out the first and only in a way that most of The Hero of The Imperium books neglect and they are an amusing cast of characters. The Ravenguard dropped the ball when they didnt use Tanith as a recruiting world. I like how Rawne keeps trying to kill Gaunt and Gaunt keeps saving his life.
