The idea that anyone could create a website — how cool is that!?</p><p>I’ve been a <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/Mac" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mac</span></a> user even longer (my parents were in education and my mom would bring home her office Mac Classic on the weekends). Being creative with <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/HyperCard" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HyperCard</span></a> and wanting to make dynamic websites eventually got me into <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/programming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>programming</span></a>. First with <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/Perl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Perl</span></a>, later <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/PHP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PHP</span></a>, and now <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/JavaScript" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>JavaScript</span></a> and <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/TypeScript" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TypeScript</span></a>. I’ve also had some fun with <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/C" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>C</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/ObjectiveC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ObjectiveC</span></a>, and <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/Swift" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Swift</span></a>.</p><p>For 14 years I worked at a small company that makes the premier CMS for the <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/AltWeekly" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AltWeekly</span></a> press in the US. Now I work on web applications in <a href="https://mastodon.limulus.net/tags/React" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>React</span></a> in the far-more corporate world. I also used to co-organize TucsonJS and Tucson React meetups.</p>
